Cleanup & Catch-Up
Behind, broken, or never set up right. We bring it current and correct.
Behind is common, and it’s fixable. One project ends the backlog, and the books stay clean afterward.

In your words
Sound familiar?
- “We’re a year behind. Maybe two.”
- “I’d rather not show anyone the books right now.”
- “The tax preparer needs statements I can’t produce.”
- “The software was set up wrong from day one, and it’s only gotten worse.”
The cost of waiting
The cost of leaving it.
Books that are behind don’t catch themselves up. Each month adds to the pile, and the consequences arrive on someone else’s schedule.
- Penalties and late filings that grow the longer it sits.
- A loan, a lease, or a sale that stalls when someone asks for financials.
- The sense that it’s too big to fix, so it keeps waiting.
None of this is unusual. Most books fall behind for the same reason: the owner was busy running the business. We’ve seen it before, and it’s fixable.
What changes
A clean slate, and a system that stays clean.
The backlog ends in one project. Every account reconciles to its statement, and the balances make sense again.
You can hand the books to a lender or tax preparer without hesitating.
Then the books stay current: with Baywell’s monthly bookkeeping, or with your own team, starting from a clean base.

Book a discovery callHow long does a cleanup take?
It depends on how far behind the books are and the condition of the records. Your quote includes a timeline, and you get progress updates as each period is completed.
Do I need every receipt?
No. Bank, card, and loan statements are the starting point. We’ll tell you exactly what else is needed, if anything.
Can you file my back taxes?
Baywell does not prepare tax returns at this time. We bring the books current and hand them to your tax preparer in clean, tax-ready condition.
What happens after the cleanup?
Most clients move to monthly bookkeeping so the books stay current. You can also take them back in-house with a clean starting point and handoff notes.
